U16 Team - At a Glance
The U16 Alpine Team is for racers born in 2009 or 2010 who have a race backround and coach approval. We offer two options: full-time, with four on-snow sessions a week plus pre-season dryland, or part-time, with weekend training and optional dryland.
Training covers SL and GS, speed skills in Super-G and Downhill, advanced technique, tactical skills, and race-day preparation. We use video review regularly, and while we push athletes to improve, we make sure training stays fun and motivating.
Most sessions are at Eldora, with early-season training at Winter Park and Loveland. Costs are $8,625 for full-time and $6,125 for part-time. Families choose U16 for the quality coaching, direct feedback, and the growth athletes gain both on the racecourse and in life.

Meet Our Head U16 Coach
Briggs Williams
The 2025/26 season will be my third with EMSC and my seventh year coaching Alpine skiing.
I got my start in ski racing as a junior athlete at Carrabassett Valley Academy, training and competing out of Sugarloaf, Maine. After graduating from CVA, I continued racing at the collegiate level for St. Lawrence University.
After college, I headed west to Sun Valley, Idaho, where I split my time between coaching and working in the ski academy. I coached full-time with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation as an assistant U16 Alpine coach, and also served as Assistant Director of Residential Life and Ski Academy Academic Coordinator at The Community School.
Now based in Boulder, I’m focused on bringing that experience to EMSC’s U16 program and supporting athletes in their development both on and off the hill.
