EMSC offers a one and two day option for the freestyle & freeride ski & snowboard team.
Saturdays, Sundays or Both days
Both include travel days to Ikon resorts, dryland training options and coach support at USASA & IFSA competitions.
The two day program is highly recommended for athletes looking to compete.

Athletes must be comfortable on blue terrain and have the ability to ride in a smooth and controlled manner. (parallel skiing)
Athletes do not need to be proficient in the park or big mountain terrain to join.
This program is for athletes ages 8-18
a ski pass is NOT included with tuition cost.

8:00 am - Arrival at Eldora - Breakfast/Snack, water, restroom break - Gear Up for AM training (boots, gloves, facemask, helmet/goggles)
8:30 am - Head out to snow for coach greeting -Warm-up lap/Group stretch/Warm-up lap
9:15 am - 1st AM Training: Introduction of skill for the day and explanation of relation
10:05 am - Snack, water, restroom break
10:15 am - 2nd AM Training: Execution of skill for the day
12:00 pm - Lunch, water, restroom break
12:30 pm - Gear up for PM training
12:45 pm - Stretch/morning recap
12:55 pm - Get in line for lift
1:05 pm - PM Training: Skill for the day and its incorporation to freeriding
(aka riding with no agenda…just having fun)
2:15 pm - Snack and/or restroom break
3:00 pm - Full day recap and cool down
3:30 pm - Parent pick-up/ Van Heads down to office
4:00 pm - Van arrives at Justice Center

Eldora Mountain is our home base and main training ground. We meet at 8:30 by the ski rack in front of Timbers Lodge.
This team also does travel to Ikon resorts to train for Freeride & Slopestyle Competitions.
Team Travel
When the team travels for training, there is a van fee to cover transportation cost.
Overnight Trips
For competition/fun overnight trips, there will be additional fees for van transport, food, and lodging.

First year athletes in this program will get a season long intro to the world of Freestyle & Freeride Snowboarding!
Competitive athletes have the option to train specifically for Freestyle or Freeride snowboarding. There will be a more individualized plan made by your coach that will set you up for success.
Freestyle is all about tricks and style. Athletes will learn how to ride terrain park features, Park etiquette, Slide Boxes and Rails, Jumps, Spins & learn about Rail jams & slopestyle competitions. Our competitive athletes have the opportunity to focus their winter in training for USASA events such as rail jams, slopestyle and pipe events
Freeriding is about sending big mountain lines! Our freeride athletes travel every Sunday to various resorts for training as well as traveling for IFSA competitions
Dryland Training takes place of the snow. Our athletes have the option add in strength, conditioning and air awareness training. We also Utilize Snobahn, a state of the art indoor snow sports training facility!
Our coaches are USASA, PSIA, and AASI Certified.

Eldora is home to an amazing Woodward terrain park. This allows our athletes to progress their skills and get prepped for any slopestyle or rail jam competition. This program is great for anyone interested in working on tricks in the terrain park or looking to compete in freestyle competition. We have coach support for USASA events including nationals. This season EMSC will host at least 3 at home rail jams that will be open to the public and will not require a USASA membership.

Our Freeride team has grown enormously in the past 3 seasons. EMSC has become the premiere freeride program for athletes in the front range looking to push their skiing/riding. Our team has vans to transport athletes from Boulder to several mountains in Colorado to train freeride. EMSC has several athletes qualify for the Jr Freeride Championship (JFC) every season and this year we have an athlete (Wesley Sims, 5 year EMSC athlete) competing at the Jr World Championships in Austria.

Our end of season trip is typically a 5 day trip to a new resort every year. last year we visited SLC and got to enjoy Woodward PC, Brighton, and Snowbird. This seasons trip we spent 5 days in Mammoth Lakes ripping Mammoth’s Unbound terrain park.

We have training opportunities year round for athletes who are passionate about skiing & snowboarding. Thanks to Copper mountain we are able to ski all summer long at the hike park. Twice a week we go to Snobahn to work on tricks and train air awareness. In the Fall we start our pre-season workouts to get your athlete prepped for the upcoming season.

Program Director & Head Coach
David has 10 years of coaching experience and this will be his 6th year with EMSC. His mission is simple; Provide professional coaching to athletes in the front range for kids of all backgrounds. david@lertprograms.com

Van started coaching at the Beech Mountain Academy in NC and has since then coached at Liberty Snowflex Camp and High Cascade Summer Camp. This will be his 5th year coaching EMSC. We are lucky to have someone with his experience lead the next generation of snowboarders

Ali has been coaching with EMSC for 4 seasons. She is a very active member in the women’s snowboard community and also coaches at Lleky’s women snowboarding events. Ali is an awesome role model for the young lady shredders as she is an active snowboard competitor .

Hunter has been snowboarding since he could walk and is a long time snowboard competitor from Michigan. Hunter is known for his style and crazy bag of tricks in the park. This will be his 1st year coaching for EMSC and we are stoked to have him!

Sam came up through EMSC as an athlete and is here to share his passion for skiing with our team. Sam is local to Nederland and knows the mountain like the back of his hand. Sam is an awesome skier and even better coach!

Freeride Ski Coach
She spent her winters at CU on the Freeski Team and competes in the IFSA Rocky Mountain Series. Emily has been coaching for EMSC for 4 seasons. Her off-seasons are spent leading yoga classes and frolicking through the forest. We are super lucky to have her on the team!

Freestyle Ski Coach
Jose is a local ripper at Eldora and has grown up skiing and competing in slopestyle events. His experience in slopestyle and ability to throw down in the park make him an excellent coach. He is super passionate about teaching the next generation of skiers and is a key member of EMSC.
Keith
Freestyle Ski Coach
Keith has been producing amazing athletes for over 17 years. He has worked as the head coach for the Olympic Regional Development Authority, Stratton Mountain School, and most recently at Park City Ski & Snowboard. Keith is also the freestyle director at Snobahn.

Head Freestyle Ski Coach
Adam has been coaching for EMSC for 7 years! He was born and raised in Nederland and is a local legend at Eldora. His ability to throw down in the park and break tricks down on a technical level makes him such a valuable team member.
Austin
Freeride Ski Coach
Austin is an active IFSA competitor and an absolute sender! Austin is also a beat on the mountain bike where he competes and coaches enduro. Not only can he help you pick a good line, he will show you how its done too!
