
All-Mountain Devo Program
This is an awesome 1st year program! Dive into the world of skiing and snowboarding with our Devo Program, designed to develop all-mountain skills and master the fundamentals. Athletes will get a taste of racing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding, and freeriding, setting the stage for future success on the slopes. This is a great option for kids who are looking for the next step after ski lessons! More information here.

Our Season runs from December 13th - April 4th
This is a 1 day per week program for young skiers and snowboarders looking to take their riding to the next step!
Saturdays or Sundays
We also have travel days to explore other ikon resorts!

8:30 am - Head out to snow for coach greeting -Warm-up lap/Group stretch/Warm-up lap
9:15 am - 1st AM Training: Introduction of skill for the day and explanation of relation
10:05 am - Snack, water, restroom break
10:15 am - 2nd AM Training: Execution of skill for the day
12:00 pm - Lunch, water, restroom break
12:30 pm - Gear up for PM training
12:45 pm - Stretch/morning recap
12:55 pm - Get in line for lift
1:05 pm - PM Training: Skill for the day and its incorporation to freeriding
(aka riding with no agenda…just having fun)
2:45 pm - Full day recap and cool down
3:00 pm - Parent Pick-Up

Athletes should be comfortable on blue terrain and have the ability ski parallel in a smooth and controlled manner.
This program is for ages 8 -13

Eldora Mountain is our home base and main training ground. We meet at 8:30 by the ski rack in front of Timbers Lodge.
The Devo program also does a few day trips to Ikon resorts.

Athletes who plan on competing or doing travel days are encouraged to purchase an Ikon Pass.
an Eldora Season Pass is a great option for those who wish to just train at home.

First year athletes in this program will Master the fundamentals of skiing/riding, learn how to hit gates, throw tricks in the park and master off piste terrain!
Mastering Fundamentals is the first chapter we start with and sets our team up for a great season!
Race is a huge part of skiing and snowboarding. Whether you are planning on being an olympic racer or not, The skills used to hit gates will transfer all over the mountain!
Freestyle is all about tricks and style. Athletes will learn how to ride terrain park features, Park etiquette, Slide Boxes and Rails, Jumps, Spins & learn about Rail jams & slopestyle competitions.
Freeriding is about sending big mountain lines! Athletes will learn to ride off piste terrain with confidence. Coaches will teach athletes about IFSA Freeride competitions and the judging categories.
Our coaches follow the PSIA and USASA standards for teaching progression.

Competing is not required and is not recommended for first year athletes.
Athletes will receive coach support at all USASA and IFSA events in the Rocky mountain series + national/ world championships.

This includes tuition to 1 day a week (Sat. or Sun) plus travel days to other resorts, and coach support at regional competitionsTeam members are expected to complete 3 work credits worth of volunteering or $300

Coach Lindsey
Head Ski Devo Coach
Lindsey has been coaching with EMSC for 2 years and has 10 years of coaching and instructing experience. Her background in mogul skiing brings a great level of technique that she passes on to our Devo athletes!
Coach Evan
Head Snowboard Devo Coach
Evan has been coaching with EMSC for 3 season and is also the head coach for CU’s Snowboard Team! His passion for snowboarding is unmatched and he loves to spread the stoke of snowboarding with the next generation of rippers!
